Day 7: Harajuku

Day 7

I went to the famous Harajuku bridge and shopping district today.
To go see the harajuku freaks and to go shopping.

It was raining really hard, so i expected an empty bridge
when i came to the bridge my suspicions where confirmed (lol before i came there is was lost again XD im just gonna stop talking about that, otherwise i am going to have no more dignity left)
The harajuku bridge (it had an official name but i dident rember anyway) is a famous hangout for cosplayers and alternitive kids. They come from all around tokyo just to show of there costumes to willing photographers and tourists.
Its said that the teens arent as extremely clothed as about 5 years ago when it wasent a trend yet. but still i wanted to see the 'show'
I am going back on saturday to see the shire, i'll take another look trough my camera lens at the bridge then.

I first went to the 'fancy'/'normal' part of harajuku's shopping district. to eat at an organic restaurant. the food was good and 100% vegan :)
I wanted to go to kiddyland to, its a big toystore as the name suggests. but it was so crouded i dicided to go another time.

This is the gate of the alternative part of harajuku.

as you can see it was raining hard. i got kinda annoyed by the umbrella's poking me. people here were more rude, i think its becouse there are a lot of teens and tourists. and it was sundag, wich means a lot of crouds.

i dident bought much, a new smal backpack, wich you will see in photo's later. becouse mine wasent going to last much longer. small holes where apearing and getting big enough for stuff to fall out, or water to come in. so this was a good buy. it was 3100 Yen. And now I've got a harajuku item! (about 5 years ago i would have found this much more exiting haha)

i went to the 100 Yen shop, wich isent a 100 yen shop actually. they charge more, becouse of the recession maybe? anyway it was cheep. i bought food (noodles and candy), origami paper, chopsticks with hello kitty (im childish yes, wait until you see my kiddyland photo souvenirs) and some decoden items.
This is a decoden tv, to give you an impression;

its another sneek photo. most harajuku shops have a no photo policy.
but where it comes down to is that you take an item, whatever you like.
you can decoden everything; your phone (populair item), your dog, your car, your camera, your nails etc etc. and you stik it full with beads. as much and as big as possible. preferably beads with candy imidges or hearts. then you fill up the gaps with rhinestones. i want to do this to my dog when i go home.

its planned for my nintendo DS actually. its a mad cute childish item anyway (mine is soft pink) if i would bling my phone i might regret it (even though me phone is pink to)

but where did i left off,

I walked trough harajuku a bit, but i left early becouse of the cold wet weather and crouwds. i should listen to my travelguid book when it say be prepaired for crouds. But it was an unfair case, this where crouds with pointy umbrella's at eye hight.
i eate a crepe as dinner (i had a great healthy luch remember?)
I wanted it becouse of Cheesy, my 2nd favorite blogger. She said the one i had was the best. so i searched for the Angel Hearts crepe stand (there where about 7 stands) and had a (here it comes!) Angel Heart Strawberry Cheesecake Crepe. its was a little les then 500 Yen.
It was good, but i've had french crepe's so it was an unfair fight.
It was verry big so i dident have to be hungry for shure. and it was warm, and i was cold.
