Day 3 (Akihabara & Maid Cafe)

Day 3 (3 Maart)

I dident really know what to do for my first day... i mean when your in the country you've dreamed of all your life, what will you do first? I diceded to pick something near. The nearest thing on the top of my list was Akihabara aka electric town. The home of Japanese geeks and Otaku's (people, mostly japanese that are anime obsessed to the point it controles their lives) I first had breakfast (lol i wont put a picture up of everything i eat but its fun for now)



I went there with the metro. and after about 20 minutes i found out i wat at the other side of tokyo.... the OTHER OTHER side. so i have to fo all the way back (nooooo there goes my dinner money) and then take the metro to akihabara. (i dont want to talk about it ;.; )
when i was there (now comes the really retarded part) i searched for the electric part of town for about 45 minutes, then it was a 8 minute walk! from now on im gonna ask my way instead of trying to be awsome and do it all by myself.

I really experianced the crazyness of japan right away.
When i was there i first noticed that the croud is really young, and the maids. Girls in maid costume handing out folders of their cafe. i was taking a walk first and had already gained about 6/7 invitations for the cafe's (and that while im not even the public they aim on, wich are japanese men) One of the girls spoke a little english and asked me if i wanted to go to her cafe, and i said no, i mean i wanted to say no and said yes :P so there a was, a dresses up japanese girl was taking me to a maid cafe. she was really nice, and it was cute that she was suprised to have a western female custiomer. she tried her best explaining to me that the fee did include one drink and one dance only for one hour and that i could not touch her or her colleges :P i was like oke, whats your name? she replyed with something like; I Pinky maid, 10000000 years ago we came from a happy planet to bring you our love joy and cute ness for the sake of beautyfull happynes etc etc etc....
She took me into an elevator up to 'pinky cafe' a little appartment room with a few red and pink tables and a lot of pink accesories. I sat at the bar cus i dident want to take a whole table being alone. all the maids (4) said hi and i orderd a coke. they did their best to talk to me in english and if they dident know english they just did a dance. when someone oredered a drink disco lights and music whent on and all maids did a dance (again) and you had to participate in the dance, they said this would make the drink more delicious.
i dont really know what i have experienced just now. but i know, this kind off stuff is only in japan! Its was cute and verry akward and it was really innocent. You'd expect something more pornographic? like a cafe full of perfects and girls in skimpy clothes. but there where girls in the cafe to and the maids dont do anything else then dance and serve you food and drinks. it was 1000 Yen btw.
maybe you wan to google 'maid cafe' in google, becouse i havent explaind what it is verry well becouse i know myself what i went in for. Its much like the consept of host en hostess clubs (you might want to google that to) Anyway it is crazy, but its fun i got in on this japanese 'attraction'
And my friend Jeff who went to japan to (hi Jeff!! :D) said he couldent find a maid cafe. well i had to run for it :P they where everywhere and all over you!

btw you couldent take pictures of the maids or the cafe, but i sneeked some in ;)




i though i would buy a lot of things in akihabara but i only bought some cute things. like i bought an alpaca plush speaker and some souvernirs for kevin (happy to read that right? :P)





I did some groceries when i came back
ate some instant noodles. i dident have lunch so i was really really hungry
